Sooo, what does everyone think?

The all-stars was a little disappointing. I liked Chris's & Uli's designs the best.
Honestly I did not get Daniels stuff at all, I hated, hated, hated it. I thought it looked cheap--out of one of the "marts" circa 1992.

I'll have to look at the still photos when they are up because I must have missed something the way everyone was gushing over them.

Project Runway--looks promising. I hate that they are in LA and not NY. There were some nice gowns that didn't make the top list. Wasn't a fan of the Valley Girl party dress that won either.
I think they should have aufed the psychotic blue dress--but I have a feeling her time will come very soon :D
 
For Project Runway I was disappointed with a lot of the dresses... I hope they get better. It's funny because despite how unattractive the dresses were they were better than most of the outfits made on The Fashion Show. I'm glad Project Runway is back! :cheer:
 
Really, I loved Korto's collection, but that is probably because she makes the type of things I would actually wear. I've always liked Daniel's work, but I was shocked that he won.

And for PR, I agree that the metallic soccer ball had to go.
 
I thought Korto's collection was great, especially the unconventional materials dress, but I was disappointed in her attitude. Maybe the editors overplayed it, but the repetitive "I deserved to win my season and I deserve to win this" came across as bitter and ungracious.

Loved Chris March's collection, and was glad the judges praised him - it clearly meant a lot to him Unrelated, but I think he needs evaluation for sleep apnea, I bet a CPAP machine would make a world of difference.

Dannie V's collection? meh, except for the red carpet dress. And his restaurant dress looked like a suicide bomber about to set herself off!

I also thought Uli desrved to be in the top 4. The judges praised Daniel for his growth since his season. Uli got dissed for growing beyond prints and simpler silhouettes. Her collection was gorgeous IMO.
 
Ugh, ugh and ugh to Daniel's collection and the zombie!jock styling.

Chris March responded to all the concern expressed for him in the comments section of projectrungay.com. He does have apnea and uses a breathing machine, but was on new meds for his diabetes that make him sleepy, only had 3 hours of sleep the night before and the day after they finished taping he came down with the flu.
I would have been sleepy too....
But he seemed to really appreciate that so many people were worried about him.

I LOVED his collection and think Twilda Swinton would wear his red carpet dress and look awesome in it. I thought Kors was right on the money that Chris's designs had a very elegant sportswear McCardell feel to it.
and really such a big change in what he did before....

I'm kinda meh on the regular show, except I hope the guy who won will stop wearing his baseball hats in such a douche way and I laughed when Lindsey said she would like it better shorter...of course she would.
Oh and for the bottom 3, I thought how much does it suck to have Lohan dis your design and remind you to stay on this side of tasteful...though she did make good points and did not embaress herself.


And they STILL have not taken care of the lighting issues. I could not tell what Epperson's dress looked like at all...such crappy lighting.

I seem to be in a bad mood, I am glad the show is back.

I thought, and twittered, that it was interesting that Kors commented on Chris's work and mentioned McCardell and mere moments later DVF said a designer will be remembered for ONE dress. She smirked. We know what her dress was, and it was a spin off of McCardell's wrap. Ironic.

I dont remember names, but I love smocking boy. He got rooked with the model lying about measurements.

I'm only halfway through the all-stars episode, as I fell asleep to it last night on the DVR.

The 1st PR, though, gads, there were so many of them crying already! DRAMA!!
That geodesic top was hideous, and it was puffy. ew!
