Purse Tapestry Cleaning?

This tapestry has water stains on it. I think possibly someone tried to clean it.
Does anyone know how I could or should?
Upholstery cleaner perhaps?
Thanks for any help. It has gold vinyl on back. Possibly it could be removed to have a gold purse instead?

I don't have any experience with this, but if you google 'removing water stains from fabric' there are a few suggestions.

I find that my threads don't appear in "What's New" but if you click on "Latest Threads" you should see them there.

I haven't cleaned water marks on tapestry but I'd be cautious because of the vinyl - perhaps try an upholstery cleaner?

That was my thought too; I've used Folex on tapestry and chenille purses, with varying success (as with any older stain, sometimes you just can't lift them). But since you are describing fainter water stains, they may be easier to deal with.
