Question about a Top Hat

Hello! I recently purchased a white silk top hat from and antique store.. unfortunately, the inside label has been removed.. the owners of the antique store didn't know much about it either so they weren't asking much for it.. so my question is, based off of the pictures that I am providing, is there any way to tell how old it could be or who the possible maker is, based off of how it is made and what it is made out of?

Another vote for modern and for costume use or a wedding. Cannot tell what it is made of but likely polyester or a rayon blend.

I agree that it looks like a poly satin, not real silk.

Thank you all for the responses and information! Looks like I may have been had by the seller at the antique store.. I make leather top hats but I'm not familiar with vintage top hats.. I'm starting to think that maybe even the seller himself is the one that ripped the label off of the inside so he could put vintage on the tag.. spent $50 on this hat so I hope I didn't get ripped off too much but I have a feeling I did haha!
