Question about Fixing Vintage Heels

I have purchased a mess of shoes which were stored in a barn for 50+ years. Where I live, that means the temps went from -30 degrees to 100 degrees or so depending on the season. So the inside shoe liner, and in some cases the cut pieces attached to the heel, have started to peel off. Is there some miracle shoe glue?

There is a wonderful old-fashioned shoe repair in a town 30 miles from here - and I don't know what they would charge to fix the shoes... But I thought I'd start here looking for suggestions.

Shoo Goo? Never heard of it! I have used contact cement, which works well. I shy away from super glues because conservators don't like them - they can't be reversed if you make a mess.

Great shoes, Amanda! I use Beacon 527 glue, you can get it in craft stores like Michael's. It's great for jewelry and leather repairs.
