question about fur

Hi! I'm new and a lover of vintage as well as curiosities. I've been reading the fur section but can't figure out how to post my question. I was wondering if anyone could identify the type of fur this is and era? It is lined, the tag/construction make it appear to be from between the 30's-50's. It has a rose-jeweled chain clasp at the neck. It also has two discreet pockets in front. Pieces, fairly wide, 5-6'' wide. Super soft!

Hi there, Very pretty cape. The fur is fox fur. Do you have any photos of the back as well as the lining? Thank you.

Just to clarify, the fur shown above is not silver fox.

The original poster's fur above is called gray/grey fox as shown in the photo below this text;

In regard to ridding pests, you always want to be very careful when bagging and placing furs in a freezer. Should the skins get wet they will dry, rot, and the fur will be ruined. In addition freezing will kill pests however there is a time guideline and process to follow when it comes to furs. Just bagging and tossing in a freezer for a few days may not kill pests at all life cycle stages.
