Question about the fabric of the dress

I am unsure about the fabric of this dress.

The inner layer seems like silk and outer layer might be rayon?

Jenny, if you could post closer photos and describe the feel of the fabric, it will help. Burn tests can be very helpful too.

The only thing that I can add is that in my experience, it's rare for a dress to be lined in silk and have a cheaper fabric on the outside, so if the lining is definitely silk the outside layer may be silk too.

I agree with Nicole. Bugnand was a designer. This could be a rtw dress for a specialty shop. Google Bugnand for more info on him.

I did look up Bob Bugnand. All his dresses are made of silk. I just never saw this type of woven silk.
Is this picture close enough?
