Questions about a corset cover

I love this corset cover because of the fabric! A few questions...

I'm I right in saying that it is Edwardian?

Any idea of what to call the fabric?

And would this have been pinned closed, as there are no buttons? Safety pins?

Yeah, I would say that your corset cover is turn of the century, early Edwardian would be a safe bet but it's a typical style of the era.

Most of them have buttons so I'm surprised yours doesn't. Maybe it originally had hooks and eyes or perhaps it was never finished?

The fabric looks like printed cotton from the photos. :)

Thanks so much, Lei. Actually, it has been worn, not "worn out", mind you, but it obviously isn't unworn. And no evidence of hooks that I could find.
