Hello new visitor here! I was sent here when I was asking about the same outfit on another forum. I was just curious as to the value of my Nathan Turk suit. It's in min condition. No wear, nothing missing, no holes. What is the year on this?
Also, what use the best way to sell somthing like this. I would like to know how I could sell directly to collectors.

Thanks!

Here are photos:

Thank you Barbera and Susan! I really dont want to let it go. :((

I added a photo of the label on the og post sorry for the poor quality cel photo, my camera is at home.

If i can get any information on N. Turk it would be great. I've only seen a few words and photos. I'm so interested.

HOLY @!$!!* WOW! Wow. That is amazing, amazing, amazing.

We have a similiar label on the resourse that dates to the 1940s http://vintagefashionguild.org/label-resource/turk-nathan/ but on that label it says Van Nuys, not Sherman Oaks like yours does.

Both have the same address---so if you can find when they decided that the address on Ventura BLVD was changed to Sherman Oaks--it could give a clue to the date.

I have a book with a lot of Turk info--will look through it later tonight.

(I know it's not cool to talk $$$$$ but this is fab and worth a good amount of money, I saw you had it on etsy for $880--imo, that is way-way-way too low)

Thank you. The pictures don't do it any justice. Is Turk more Valuable than Nudie?.. I know back in the 40s 50s Turk was a less expensive alternative to nudie..? I think I have to many questions. I feel as if the outfit is late 50s or early 60s..

You might want to check out some of auctions that specialize in western items. Some big money is realized in some of them. I cannot vouch for this auction but give it only as an example. I know of them because they have an auction in Jacksonhole, Wyoming, reasonably close to where I live.

Fabulous suit!

I remember that exhibit at the Gene Autry Museum, it was about 10 years ago. The outfits on display were incredible. Yours is just as wonderful!

Wow, where was I two years ago? I ride parades in a silver saddle ... and to answer the question, Turk is less valuable than Nudie, but they are still desired!

I have a Nathan Turk saddle seat riding habit. I've searched the web and I can find very little about English riding apparel custom made by N. Turk. I'd like to list it. Can anybody on this forum give me information? The label is"N. Turk in Van Nuys, Cali., Individually Styled." I notice the label in the Western suit at the beginning of this thread say it was styled in Sherman Oaks, Cali. Thanks for any tidbits of info you have!
