Questions about peasant blouse...vintage or not? What does the tag say? What do I call...

:) I know I'm so full of questions about this one!
It's a peasant-y sort of blouse. Feels like a nylon (not sure though). Very sheer. Pinked finished seams.

Embroidery on the front, and each arm.

What do you call the treatment at the cuffs and collar?

What does the tag say? Which language is it?

...and finally, do you think 70's or...no?

Oh that is so pretty!

I'm pretty sure "Sarkozi" is a surname and that "Nepmoveszeti" means Folk Art Shop. I'm also pretty sure the label is in Hungarian (or maybe Polish). I don't know what the other words/letters refer to. I had a top similar to this in the 80s and a Hungarian friend translated
the label for me. (the first word on mine was different).

As to it being vintage or not, hard to say as these are still being made and sold today and the style hasn't really changed over the past decades. The ones that are pre
50s are usually made from cotton.

The treatment on the sleeves, collar and waist is smocking.

Sue:)

These are very popular right now :)

I'm of the mind that this is from the 70s wave of popularity. Not sure, really, what gives me that impression -- but there ya go!

Wish I could get my hands on some of the 40's versions...

BUT -- does that say it's a size 42??? Hmmmm?? ;)

haha I didn't even notice until now she does look like her :)

...she didn't have a name until now!

Amanda, I'm using a Samsung S730 ... I LOVE this camera for close ups!
