how is it that the dates i am most sketchy on is the times when i was actually alive!! now is this late 70's or is it 80's? all sequins and beads sewn on, completely backless and lined in black acetate with acetate shoestring ties to criss cross and attach to metal D rings. no labels.

have to admit i would love to be thin enough to cover myself in body glitter and go out dancing in this.. what's happening to me?? :BAGUSE:

thanks!!!

Stunning!

I tend to think of the butterfly fad to be more 70s than 80s, but the style of this top looks more 80s or even 90s to me.

Whichever, if you can team it with a skirt, jeans, pants for different images I think you will be onto a winner!

thank you margaret - good idea about the photos! i have a feeling it's seventies then if that was when the whole butterfly fad was, as the lining etc. 'feels' older. plus it has the tell tale remnants of gold body shimmer in the lining. totally disco:roll:

i think i'll list in 70's and mention possibly 80's. it's one of those things that i am actually tempted to hang onto 'just incase' but i think i would frighten people...:hysterical:

That is really unique. A butterfly wrap skirt i sold was 70s, and i had a decor book once that had butterfly wallpaper all over the walls and ceiling and bedspread...and it was late 70s...so i am in agreement that it would be very disco era.

The sequins things i have seen from the 80s tend to be the oversized off one shoulder situations.

I had a long black empire dress in the 70s that had a big sequin butterfly on the front bodice. I think this is 70s and is gonna bring you big $$$.
