One more quick check... my thoughts on this sweet poly evening dress were late 70s too? The top is lined, the skirt isn't. Trina Lewis & Marjon Couture at Baker Sportswear. The color actually goes a little more into green than it appears in the photo. When I bought it, my hair was at it's longest - and bright copper red. My friend thought I looked like the Little Mermaid in it :hysterical:.

Thanks - I'm glad my dating wasn't totally off, and I will refer to the VFG as my dating help when I list it :). It is cute, but in all honesty I know I won't wear it nowadays (this is one of my early vintage buys - must've had it for 10 years at least), even though it does fit. I prefer something with a lower waist - these highwaisted dresses aren't quite the thing for me... and I want something a little older and a little more elegant instead.

I've had several similar ones over the years, and have always dated them as early to mid 70s, but never late.... And at least 2 or 3, including one I have in inventory right now, has been in that same, or nearly so, color. (Which I love!)

I agree that it could be mid 70s, or a bit earlier. I myself can't narrow it down any more than "early to mid 70s," but I definitely wouldn't think it was late 70s.... That drapey, gathered bodice look seemed to be popular for awhile. I'm thinking around '73 to '76?
