Donald Brooks was a Coty award winner, broadway and hollywood costume designer (dressed both Julie Andrews and Barbra Streisand, and also had designs hanging in the closet of Jacqueline Kennedy.

He will be missed.

I was shocked that it was actually in the little local paper, but it was most likely an AP or Reuters article.

According to the report, he was vacationing in the Hamptons with friends, so at least he was doing something enjoyable when he passed.

It's amazing how connected a person can feel to a designer by slipping into his/her creations. Donald Brooks made ever-youthful yet sophisticated clothing. He certainly lives through his great work!
