I just heard that myself......he was a fantastically funny man, and seemed to be pretty down to earth and cool as well. I saw him live once when I was in college and by the time it was over my cheeks were killing me from laughing so hard!!

I don't know if anyone else remembers watching George Carlin on the Flip Wilson show years ago. He had one character he did at the time whom he called Al Sleet, the Hippy Dippy Weatherman.

Oh, that's so sad! My dad was a huge Carlin fan~ he even looks like the guy! Bummer.

I was SO saddened when I read this really late last night on
msn.com. He was my all time favorite comedian. We
have several of his dvds and like Ang, I saw him live years
ago.

So many of his routines are memorable, however owning
both cats and dogs, I think my absolute fav is his riff on
them. He nailed their personalities and quirks hilariously.

One of his jokes went something like you would be reunited in heaven with a pile of your lost stuff (socks, lighters, sunglasses, etc).
