I can not find any info on the internet besides the orange tab signifying they are from the 1960-70s does anyone have any info on these or a style name even?

I agree with Joy, they look 70s to me, as well. The high waist, the wide waistband, the rainbow stripes all say 70s. However, I wouldn't use the word rare to describe them: there may not be any like them online right now, but that doesn't mean they're rare.

btw, did you check the hems? does it look like they were altered? I would imagine that originally they were full length jeans. maybe a stove pipe cut.

They look mid 70s to me too - especially with the rainbow stitching. They aren't really culottes - could you call them skorts? If its pre 1971 there a big E in the Levi's label - or does that only true with 501's?

For clarity's sake... I didn't mean to say that these were or were not culottes but that in the day they were made in pants OR they were made in culottes. 2 different styles available. They both could come with a matching vest. Sorry for the confusion there.
