Reacurring vintage dream

OK, I have been having this dream for the past few years. When I first started getting this dream, I was trying to get to go to this vintage warehouse as they had floors and floors of stock from all eras to choose from. I never quite made it to the vintage warehouse in my early dreams but as the years went by, I got closer and closer till eventually I got in last year and started to have a look around. A couple of nights ago I had the dream and this time I actually got to start shopping!

The warehouse seems to be arranged in rooms according to era and garment type. I got into a room with lots of top hats and vintage men's formal wear and then was in a room with 20's- 50's lingerie that had multicolored net crinolines hanging above the door from the ceiling. Just as I was going out of the lingerie room to the next room, my dream ended.

I'm always disapointed when I wake up though!!! Can't wait to see what I dream next :)

Hi Lei,

Glad to hear I am not the only one with these sorts of dreams, although mine are usually these wonderful old houses filled with treasures and it is an estate sale but I am there pretty much alone trying hard to keep all the goodies together before the competition starts arriving and stealing all my found stuff!

I hate waking from those dreams and always get the feeling I should go out hunting for stuff the next day.

When I have that dream (similar, at least) and wake up I'm frustrated! Hubby doesn't like when I wake and look over and seem dissappointed that I'm here and not there.
Poor vintie hubbies.

I have vint shopping dreams like others might have sex dreams!

I thought of this thread when I woke up this morning - I've had the usual houses full of vintge dreams with it hanging up etc., but last night I dreamt I was in my old school lecture room and for some reason it was part of my house. I decided to take out all the benches and under the carpet there were loads of amazing 40s clothes hidden in bags. And also a border terrier which I didn't blink an eye at when it got up and ran off.

Weird. See what happens when I DON'T have a G&T before bed!

I often have dreams of aquiring things that I would love to own, and then wake up to the disappointment that I don't have them... I think that's the Hindu side of my mind trying to teach me a lesson for being so very materialistic.

But having a dream that progresses in tiny stages over a period of years... that must be really unusual. Is there a psychologist in the house?!

It really must mean *something*, surely?

...an indication of your life path? That you're gradually achieving what you need to achieve in life? ...does the dream ever loose anything or does it always progress?

...and Harriet, about that G&T... I *syill* owe you a drink you know. I haven't forgotten. ;-)

love, moons and starrs,
Senti.*
