Hi, my grandma (82) has this fur coat, that she says is from her great aunty. She claims it’s from 1920s and is beaver. We have no idea and can’t find anything about the label. Anyone able to help?

Just from looking at the label, I do not believe that this is 20s but rather 50s 60s. You might want to add photos that show off the construction a bit more... collar, how the shoulders meet the body of the coat, which will tell better the era.

What fur is hard to tell from your photos. You might want to add some close up photos of the fur, straight on and with a hand pushing the fur back so one can see the guard hairs and undercoat.

Hi there, Pretty fur. Furcraft used to provide furs to fur salons. I'm not sure for how long but I could find history going back to the early 1900s. The coat you've shown looks like it dates to the 50s; although as Cin and Donna said I could see it being offered new in the 60s too.
The sunlight coming in from one side and the indoor lighting on the other side makes it tough to see the texture evenly enough to determine fur type with certainty.
If you can, take a picture of the front of the coat and the back of the coat in evenly lit lighting and we can help you further.
