Really neat hooded coat...is it 40s??

and if it is, early, mid or late?? I was so happy to find this at an estate sale today. I haven't been finding anything much earlier than the 60s in quite some time. The coat is heavy black wool with red silk lining. The hood is lined in red wool as are the pockets. It has huge cuffs and thick shoulder pads. Hook & eye at neck plus a snap near the waist. Ties at the neck. I also could you some keyword help with this one. Thanks everyone!

I walk a lot in cold weather coats like these are the absolute bomb! I always thought stroller was the right keyword but I don't see much listed under that word and seems to refer to furs more than wools BUT if I was going to go strolling I'd want something just like that

What does the rest of the label say? London? If you could show the snaps that would be good. The hood may have been re-lined and was originally the red 'silk.'

It maybe mid-late 40's but it could be later.
