Red Wool & Persian Lamb Trim Coat...How Old Am I?

The original owner strongly felt it was 1890s...my feelings are that it's late 1930s with revivalist leg o' mutton sleeves. Has Pogue's department store label (Cincinnati, OH) Their flagship store was built in 1916, according to Wiki, and the label in this coat matches other pieces I have from 1930s/1940s era.

nice coat - yup, definitely 30s... about 1936 when those huge full 1890s sleeves are revived.

I agree - and thank you for pointing out how similar those late '30s styles are to the late 1890s styles. I love how fashion just goes around and around, always slightly differently.
