Redingote's and their spinoffs? Help with determining type of dress/pantsuit.

Hi All,
So the new word Redingote got me thinking about a few other outfits I have. One of them is something I have listed as 1960's 'maxi dress coat' (this is the first photo below)....am now wondering if it's from the 70s and what a more accurate descriptor would be. I also have a couple of 'numbers' yet to list and have been puzzled because they are all handmade and of unusual design but they all share a certain reference to the dress/overdress redingcote look....any ideas about dating and 'style' descriptors for these? The last one is a pant suit but the top dress part is right to the floor.
thanks so much,
Lauren

The second two both look like Indian garments to me, sorry I don't know the proper names but they often have two layers like that.

I know what you mean Pinkcoke. The 3rd dress I've pictured is actually all one piece sewn together. I have a vague memory of my mother having something very similar in the 160s/70s....it's a beautiful very heavy linen like material.

The first one you have pictured (split skirt maxi dress/coat ) would have had a pair of hot pants to go with it probably.
