Request Info on Label: Custom made, Kimi, Okinawa

This is the only label found in a vintage dress made of satin, champagne in color, shoulder pads, rushed bodice and lower arm area, back nylon zipper, lined. I found this dress with another and know the other to be late 50s to early 60s. I would put this dress at least that old but the style and fabric just remind me of a bit of an old Hollywood style like late 40's. Any input in dating this or more about the label? I have only found a few items online with this label but really no information on dates, designer etc. :)

Only that the label reminds me of the 1950's Doris Dodson labels with the nolvelty sewing theme.
Custom made garments will not always follow current fashion either as the very reason the customer may have ordered the garment was because they wanted something that was not available, or not in fashion at the time it was made, such as an older style.

Can you show us the shoulder pads please?

Okay, so showing picture of zipper. It is pink with tear drop pull. I do not know if it is a replacement although figured it was a possibility. Is there some sign I can look for that might suggest it is a replacement? It has some very neat hand stitching along the edge (pink thread) and the dress lining also has some hand stitching but thread used there is more champagne color like the dress.
Good point on handmade being requested in order to obtain an older style. This is why I am just not sure, and it could very well be 50's-60s, just had that 40s possibility and feeling about it.
Also picturing the shoulder pads. Interested in knowing how these too can perhaps help date the dress? Thanks so much ladies :)

The zip seems very modern, and if original makes even 50s/60s unlikely. It's making me wonder if the dress might be 1980s, when 40s styles had a big revival. It has a bit of a Dallas/Dynasty look about it. I could see Krystal Carrington in it.

Things to look for to see if a zip is a replacement: Can you see any signs of stitching having been removed around the zip? If it's been replaced, you should be able to see a line of holes where the old stitching was. The sewer might have sewn exactly along the original stitch line, so it might not be be obvious, but you can usually see it somewhere. Is the thread used for the zip an exact colour match to the thread used for the seams? If so the zip is more likely to be original, but this isn't definitive, either way.

Ruth the zipper looks modern to me too. I cannot see any evidence of previous holes. Small whip stitch is used with the pink thread on the zipper. For the other hand stitching in the dress, the thread is the color of the dress.

Although I am very familiar with the 80s examples you gave (ha ha lived it!), I had not thought much about it being 80s so another possibility there
I think in part why I am getting a more vintage feel from it, is because it being custom made, it is very nice quality fabric and workmanship like I often see in older vintage items

Since I found a couple apparel items online with this label, they must have been in business for a while anyway. Those items were listed as coming from 1950-70s

Thanks then for your help. :)I will check back should anyone care to comment further
