Researching vintage jewelry?

My mother passed away leaving me with vintage costume jewelry from her own mother and grandmother as well as costume jewelry she collected on her own. After picking through the boxes, my daughters and I keep what we know we would wear, but we still have several large boxes of stuff. How do find out its value? Some look to be very nice pieces from the 20s.
