Restoring glitter detail

I wonder if anyone can help me with restoring vintage glitter detail! I have a beautiful bustier top, 1950s I think, which has glitter detailing all over, and a cream mesh background. However the glitter seems to have dulled with time. It looks as though it's a sort of glitter glue solution. Any ideas?!

I suspect it was that colour originally, unless you have some brighter bits elsewhere. If you want to replace missing glitter and you have a steady hand, you can use a product like Tulip fabric glitter paint but beware using it on net you'll need to place some plastic underneath while using it, and then remove when semi dry to avoid the paint sticking the two materials together (the paint is essentially like a flexible plastic, or glue with glitter in).

I actually like dull and missing glitter, to a point, because I like the aged character it conveys.

Glitter glue is what I thought too, but I think I'd leave it as is - I'd be afraid of spoiling it, to be honest. I also doubt that the new applied over the old would really look good...
