Rhinestone Brooch +earrings - date and color help

Okay, i don't really have a big complaint about my actual photography. I just can't seem to get the color right. Now, there are THREE colors of blue rhinestones in this set...but i am only picking up two. I thought it was only two until i took it out in the sunlight and saw the third.

The first is a pale aquamarine colored rhinestone which is showing up fine, but the camera is seeming to pick the color that is in between the two other ones and showing all those rhinestones as the same color. if the bottom tail of the brooch is south and the first "diamond is north, the southmost rhinestone of each diamond shape group actually is slightly on the purple side of blue, and the one facing outmost in each is the same. The north and inner are brighter.

Any thing i can do to fix that you think or do you think that as long as I explain that when you are in bright natural sunlight you can see three different shades..it is okay.

Secondly? Date? I know it is no earlier than 1950s for sure. I don't know how "late" they are.

You can kinda see it a little in the close up but not really. maybe if you take my word for it lol

I thought i was losing it.

I may wait for the sun to come up tomorrow and get some more sparklier photos but i will see how i feel later.
 
Um. I can't see the purple. I see the ice blue then a royal and that's it.

Have you ever tried shooting through a magnifying glass? Might clear up those super zooms like the top one. Just macro with the mag glas between you and the blingbling.

The only place i truly see it...look in the far upper right hand grouping of stones in the top pic. Can you see the stone near the very top is a slightly different radiance or hue than the one to the right of it??

I may try the mag. I do have one. The last time i used it because its old and thick the item looked like an odd color...but certainly worth a try

The thing is though you can ONLY see it in bright, natural sunlight. Indoors..no
 
Chris, I can see the three shades of blue too but if you hadn't pointed it out I would have missed it.

It looks to be later 50's and is really beautiful, I started out selling costume jewelry and have tons of books on the stuff but got bored with it when I discovered vintage clothing and well the rest is history. I didn't retain much of my knowledge on it though and refer to my books when I get something worth selling..
