Richard Frontman Dress

Promise not to abuse your good humor or patience...last post for awhile. This is the other piece that I am curious to know more about. It is an orange dress - missing a belt for sure - but in great condition otherwise. Oddly, it looks like it is missing a button but there is no evidence whatsever that a button was where I think there should be one...oh well!Label says Richard Frontman. Pics show dress, label, and hem detail.

Any thoughts on time period or any other interesting facts about designer? Have seen a few other items by Richard Frontman on web but no info on designer.

Thank you again! Still glowing over info I received on my Ted Lapidus suit.

I found a 1971 newspaper article that says he is “...the New York designer (who) believes every woman can be well-dressed.”

Also - he says -

“Pick out a color flattering to your skin tone, a silhouette that’s current and easy-to-wear, a fabric that feels good and looks luxurious... and you are fashionable.

And from the article -

According to Frontman, price has nothing to do with fashion. His clothes are all priced at well below $100 mark yet are “designed to have a ‘no-price’ look.”

Nice work on finding that newspaper article Amanda! :)
I found pics of 50's & 60's Richard Frontman dresses, but no info.

As for dating this dress, my guess would be early 60's....

Thank you both so much for your thoughts. I greatly appreciate you finding the article and sharing with me. I do love this dress - but I am a fan of orange which I know isnt for everyone.

Thank you again - amazing research!
