Robert Morton Dress Needs A Date. Finally Listed!

I found this the same time I found that super Adele Simpson one and you can tell it is a quality dress. I found a Robert David Morton label. Would this be same person?

I suppose it would be satin. It has a back metal zipper, pinked seams. Would you call it bombshell and what era?

I have seen this label , but can't tell you muchl I had an aqua blue satin dress late 50s, early 60s cocktail in a similar vein by the same maker.

Hollis, I was thinking that was the date. The only thing I can find is about Robert David Morton and it said he usually does prints and puts his signature someplace.

I did find a place that said a Robert Morton was suing IRS. That he was a Manhattan dress designer and was now head of Quatra Luna, makers of cocktail and evening dresses, however I think this is still the Robert David Morton. I don't know if they are the same person.
 
I will try to find an email but I really stink on research. I will post if I find something out and will let everyone know when I list.

i've got an early 70's robert david morton label, but i'm not really sure of the label history. would be interested to hear if you learn anything!

Gosh, I am having no luck finding anything. Where do you guys usually check for designer info?

I searched for an email for him, but it just says unlisted number and address.

For what it's worth, it appears that initially there was a label in the opening post, however, this is from way back in 2005, which is probably why the image links are not currently working, so it's doubtful that you'll get a response from the OP. Good luck with your research, though.
