I've had this forever! It's by Nan Herzlinger who was a designer from the 60's. This is more than likely late 60's ya think? It came from a wealthy doctors wife...along with an op art pucci like print dress, I sold the dress long ago but kept the coat. The leather is butter soft!

How would you market this? It looks great over anything, really. But would you call it a dress? I'd wear it as a dress, would you?....it has 5 buttons hidden under a flap down the front.

Nan or Nancy Herzlinger....her father manufactured coats in New York under the Herzlinger Coats label, and she was known as one of the top talents along with Anne Klein all through the 60's and 70's. I couldn't find out anything else and what I did find was found at her daughter Jamie Herzlinger's Interior Design website, her daughter was also a fashion designer but changed her career to interior design.....

I would market it with the layering thing - maybe over a bright turtleneck dress? I like the last one over the stripes, maybe on the manni so she can show off the cinched waist a bit more?

I like it very much.
 
Definitely say "Belted"

I think i would wear it as a jacket - i don't think the last button would have one covered up enough for a dress unless you wore it over a skirt that was the same length as the dress. But then a lot of people are bolder than i

Thanks, I'm going to have to wait on listing this until I return from N.Y, heck I might even wear it as its much cooler up there than here in FL.

So, you think it will fly? I love it and I'm glad I hung on to it all this time because it seems like now is the right time to list it. Definitely gonna market it as late 60's Rockstar glam etc
It would look cool over leggings! I'm going to have to do some more photos when I get back and try some of your suggestions. ~Tori
 
It doesn't strike me as rockstar at all. If it were black, maybe, but tan, no. What it DOES strike me as is chic, high society sort....bad example, but I could see someone like Laura from Project Runway wearing that. You know, the executive glam sort?

Tori, I'm not really seeing "rockstar" either. I see more
Sienna Miller or Lindsay Lohen layering this over leggings.

I would call it a belted tunic/jacket.

Yeah it looks cool like that, I hope it sells.
Since I'm leaving for N.Y on Monday and I had a pretty good sell through for this month so far I will probably be scheduling some auctions to start next thursday so they will end right about when I get home....at least that is my plan but things constantly change with me...

Sorry, I'm rambling, I've been home alone a week now and I'm lonely as heck without my hubby and a bit scared at times too! :BAGUSE:
