Rose Marie Reid Leather & Lace Swimsuit/Playsuit

Isn't this the sweetest thing? The label has been clipped but the RN number is registered to Rose Marie Reid and dates to the early 60's. I don't think this has ever seen the water, nor should it. It was most likely for the poolside or summer weather, but , leather? The suit is trimmed in white leather and the shorts are all white leather. Made like a playsuit with elastic in the leggings of the liner.

Thanks Lizzie! I just can't see this for the water, but RMR was ahead of her time. I suppose I should call it a sun suit. Makes me think of the girls dancing on the stage in those cages.
