Rose Marie Reid swimsuit bra cups

How do I describe the cups in my Rose Marie suit. They make a crinkle sound and they remind me of the old rubber diaper pants we used to wear in the 50's

I have some swimsuits with this too. I would say the padding inside the built in bra has hardened and deteriorated.
