Rosenfeld Claude de France Clasp Purse - Date Help

I see this style of purse dated all over the place online so am hoping maybe the clasp might provide some help as far as era. Was there a time period when these type (the medallion clasp) of things were more popular that might be a clue?

I haven't been able to find anything similar as far as the clasp to give guidance as far as dating. Purse seems to be silk outside/satin inside. It has a lovely mother-of-pearl bar across the top that also appears to be real but I not an expert - is there a way to tell for sure?

Thank you for any help or guidance.

Maureen

Oh, that's lovely! I don't know about the clasp, but the rectangular shape, matching coin purse and mother of pearl strip on top (which I do think is real) say (early?) 60s to me.

MOP was used fairly often in compacts, vanity bags, etc in the 50s and 60s, as well as as an accent on purse frames (I've got a white Lumured bead one with a MOP strip on top).

And Rosenfeld purses are very nice quality, in general.
