I just recently found this bag. It is red and navy blue and says Rosina Ferragamo Schiavone. I am trying to figure out what it is worth and the date it was made. Does anyone have any information?

Rosina is Salvatore's sister and you NEVER hear the Ferragamo company mention her, so I bet there's some dirt there! I like that your purse is convertible between blue and red. The only time I have seen her name is in shoes, and they are always late 60s - early 70s, so maybe she did purse before she did shoes? I am not a purse person, so I can't suggest a date for it with any accurace - mid 60s maybe? As for value, you will just have to figure that out from online searches - nobody here can give evaluations.

Interesting, Jonathan, about the family....

I would date as a late '60s and love the different colours on each side. Such an obvious idea, I'm surprised it's not seen more often.

I've had several 2 sided 60s purses over the years (one I have now is a patriotic one, with white strap and one red and one blue kiss lock compartment).

Also, the signature on your purse looks earlier than the one on the 80s shoes of hers I've had. (The signature is on the box in the first picture, in case you can't see it in the shoes).

Her shoes were very well made, but didn't seem to command "Ferragamo" prices!

I had a bag of hers last year. Late 60's with same signature. Her purses are actually more sought after than her shoes, mine did well on Ebay :drinkingtoast:. We don't really give appraisals or talk money here, but hopefully we've given you enough to go on to do a little web research.
