rowing-match shawl: is it fifties?

I have this lovely shawl in blue and orange, with little man merrily rowing around. I swear I can actually hear the sea-gulls in the background!

The material seems to be cotton, do you think it's fifties, or am I way off on this one?

Very hard to say if its actually of the period or just depicting an earlier time. Are there any labels left?

Unfortunately no labels: it could be recent,
the fabric does have an "old feel" to it though.

It is so hard to say without actually holding it, and even then sometimes it is just impossible to tell. I think the graphics look older - late 20s or into the 30s, but it could be as Brenda pointed out, showing an earlier time. Sweet!
