ROYAL SWAN Ribbons

[The Vintage Vendeuse]

I happened upon a stash of Royal Swan ribbons but can find very little about the company. I'd like to pin down their vintage. So far, I've found some ads for mid-1940s and one reference for 1940 but nothing shows the spools so I can't compare how it looks. Does anyone have any other information?
