Had to take a few additional photos of items I will be listing and thought I'd post this to see if any one knows of the maker of this Bargello Jacket: Jersey Masters, London, W.I. And if late 60's would be the time range.
It's not a high quality jacket but I love the colors and the placement of the cute wooden buttons (2 & 2). The sleeves are stovepipe - I say that because the photo makes the sleeve on the LHS looks like its tapering out at the end.
I haven't done a burn test on the material, but the lining is acetate.

Your help, as always, is much appreciated.

Thanks
Deborah

PS - What does W. I. stand for?

Hi Harriet - and many thanks!!!

I was thinking late 60's because of the discussion on your jacket a few days ago - but what's a few years among friends! (LOL) I guess there's no consesus on the 1/2 size issue. And the font looks older to me as well, but then again, I don't have a lot of experience with British labels. (Okay, so I don't have a lot of experience!)

TTFN, off to check the link - thanks again!!

I would say late 60s/early 70s. It looks like something I've seen on a British television of that time period. The colors are fabulous!

Thanks, Chris! Thanks, Mia!

Chris - I think I'll hire you to write my descriptions!!! I'm not familiar with the terms - they certainly sound intriguing!!! I googled baguse and it asked if I meant "bag use" (LOL). Fill me in, I'm clueless.

Thanks
Deborah

Ah, Deborah, that is the famous smilie: :BAGUSE: which we use to hide embarassment! Comes in handy! I don't know why Chris' came out as type and not the actual icon...

Oh there is a smiley :spin: that has a bag over itshead, but its not on this forum. i forgot we didn't have it. so no fancy fashion term

Deborah, I'm thinking late 60s on this too. The lapel doesn't look quite
wide enough to me for early 70s (but I may need the "baghead" smiley
too).

Well, Sue, I could use a baguse several times a day; so don't worry you're in good company! In fact I'm smiley illiterate and one day I will learn how to put them in...

Thanks for your thoughts!

Deborah
