Sally Gee?

Hi there,
I'm a rank amateur who just inherited a huge pile of scarves from my grandmother and my mother, both of whom seemed to have a keen preference for certain labels. I plan to keep them, not sell them, for sentimental reasons and would like to know a bit more about them so that I take care of them properly and be able to share them with my daughters when they grow up. I've been able to research most of the labels except for one: Sally Gee. There are about eight of them with that label. All of these are hand rolled, silk, square, and made in Japan. Is there anybody out there who can help me find out about this designer or group of designers? I'd love to know when these scarves were made and what inspired the designs on them... many thanks!

Hi shestrying,
Your scarves sound lovely and it's great that you're passing them onto your daughters. I haven't come across the name Sally Gee but perhaps you can post some photos of the scarves, including labels. Perhaps other members know that manufacturer? What decade do they originate from?

Oooops! Joules got to you first. :)

I found a number of Sally Gee ads from the 1960's - her scarves seem to reflect the "hippie llfe style" of the time.
