Sally Jess 1960s bag - who she?

I've got this very mod 1960s bag by Sally Jess and I'd love to know if anyone knows anything about the maker:

I've never heard of her, and I'm presuming she might be British simply because I acquired the bag here in the UK. Does the name ring any bells for anyone?
 
Did you google her? A quick look at Google search results yields this:

"SALLY JESS - MADE OF FABRIC IN TOTE DESIGN WITH FABRIC HANDLE AND TWO CUT OUT CRESCENT SECTIONS ON THE TOP. DESIGNED BY ENGLISH DESIGNER SALLY JESS IN THE 1960'S."

I didn't dig any deeper, but maybe you can, based on the above....

Sorry, vintagebaubles. I read that back and I didn't mean to sound flippant! Of course, I do looong searches on Google all the time and often end up somewhere completely different and wondering where the last three hours went! :duh2:

I have found this reference from the Fairchild Dictionary of Fashion:

"Sally Jess® bag Trademarked by English designer
Sally Jess, this bag was a favorite with
British younger set in the 1960s. Made of
fabric in simple tote design with fabric handle
and two cut-out crescent sections at the top."

I just wondered if anyone knows any more about Sally Jess, or had one of her bags to compare it with this one.
