Sambo of Dollyrockers help

I'm familiar with a few different DR labels, as well as the Concept and plain SAMBO label, but was just wondering if anyone had come accross the label 'Sambo Fashions', or know whether it's affiliated with Samuel Sherman? :)
 
Me again! Sambo fashions is one of my fave labels, and yes it is affiliated with Samuel Sherman. Someone wrote pretty extensively about the brand a while back on the VFG if memory serves me correctly...
 
Well it was around in the '50s, and S Sherman started Dollyrockers in '63, so does anyone know if it ceased to be around then or was it continued at the same time as the other labels?

I've seen some early 60's examples..
 
I have corresponded with Samuel Shermans granddaughter and sold her dresses as she is cretaing an archive, as all his work was lost to the family....

I shall endeavour to find her email address....

he continued to work through the 70's into the 80's if I recall well....

labels were,:Dollyrockers'', 'Sambo', 'Clothes by Samuel Sherman', Samuel Sherman and one other I can't recall at present

Oh how lovely! If my family were involved in iconic fashions I'd endeavour to collect as much as possible also!

The label I'd like to know dates of most is the 'sambo fashions' one, although also I have a 'Concept' dress with a label I have only seen one other example of so would like more info on also, if anyone can offer some! I posted on this earlier but with no joy, so maybe you can shed some light... it's the regular Concept label but with the addition of 'Designed by Diana';
