Sara Fredericks Knit Jacket - Any Information?

Hello, I've just gotten a lovely knit jacket with a Sara Fredericks label. The jacket is in excellent condition, beautifully lined and hemmed with gold chain. My understanding is that SF's retail shops carried only high-end designer brands. However there are no clues as to what designer may have made this jacket. Does anyone know anything about this label? I am stumped! Please see the pictures. And thanks in advance for any thoughts.

This looks like a Chanel knock-off. Stores like SF not only bought designer garments, but saw pieces which they liked and copied them for their customers.

Sara Fredericks was a Designer. My mother was a top seamstress for her facility on Newbury Street in Boston in the 1960's. She had locations elsewhere as well...NYC. I believe she made clothing that also sold under other designer labels later on. I've seen labels that say "Brand" (not sure of name), "by Sara Fredericks" for example. This one just says Sara Fredericks...so probably made/sold by her own company. It's not a knock off...it's her own label.
