Sarmi New York Evening Dress Help?

Hello all,

I found this Sarmi New York velvet dress. Also with the Bonwit Teller tag. I have been searching the internet trying to figure out what this dress is and what it might be worth. I can’t find anything on it or even a similar dress. Can anyone help me out?

Well... if you "google" Sarmi velvet dress you will find quite a few with prices all over the place. We can't tell you what it's worth, but that would give you a general idea of what you might shoot for. The Gem app will also show you quite a few - https://gem.app/search?terms=Sarmi Obviously it's high end and that color is quite unusual. I'm thinking 60's?

I have googled that. I can’t seem to find anything similar to this dress. Or another Sarmi piece that also has the Bonwit Teller store tag. I’ve looked at all the pieces being sold online. I just didn’t know if anyone had real knowledge behind Sarmi’s designs. Thank you!

I agree with mid to late 60's and the color is really beautiful!
