Save the Brown Derby!!

Isn't it ironic how Americans flock to Europe to see old buildings, but insist on bulldozing anything over 40 years old here?

I know that a sweeping generalization, but it just seems that there is so little respect for things that are uniquely American.

I have found that in the northeast folks are more involved with saving historical places. On the west coast (not to stereotype, have not travelled there) it seems there is more of a push towards novelty and being big and new.

If enough people care, something my happen...but it looks like just that the land right now is more valuable than the owner thinks the building and history is worth.

I hope that they reconsider. They could capitalize on what they have.
