Scarf with label \"Caroline Reboux 23 rue de la paix\" help

Hello, I have recently cleared my late Grandmothers house and found a "scarf" with the label "Caroline Reboux 23 rue de la paix" on it. I was wondering first is it a scarf? and does it have any value? Pictures here http://www.flickr.com/photos/49311058@N07/4522827649/

Well known French milliner and address. Lots of information on her. If I(we) could access the links it might show a hat veil rather than a scarf.

From what I can see, what you have appears to be a scarf. The fact that the Reboux name is partially lopped off at the top of the label seems odd to me, though.

Somebody has tried to turn an old scarf into a designer item... The label is too large and was trimmed too close and sewn by machine along the edge? Those don't add up. Besides Reboux was a milliner. Although I wouldn't say she never sold scarves - she was a high end milliner and her scarves would have been hemmed by hand, not machine.

I was thinking the exact same thing about the stitching as Jonathan said. If it were a Reboux (not likely, though, as she did high-end custom hats), it would have hand-rolled/hand-stitched edges.
