I'm always losing things, I admit. I have to be very organised in order to get along like a normal person as my memory is absolutely atrocious.. I swear it happened when I had a baby, but anyway.

This time I can't believe it - I have completely lost a vintage maternity dress! Black chiffon, NOS, and I remember hanging it up straight away as it was accordian pleated and I didn't want it to lose the pleats. Now I have been through every rail twice, and no luck. It's driving me mad as I wanted to photograph it while I had a pale backdrop up!!

Is it just me? Think good finding thoughts for me, as I shall try again his evening!

Harriet, I had something similar happen to me just this morning. I bought a top yesterday and I knew I wanted to wear it today. I looked all over the house, upstairs, downstairs ( even the garden?) and could not find it. I am not joking when I say I went through every room at least 3 times this morning, took ages! finally found the bag with the top in the kitchen slightly tucked behind a mirror I am repairing in there. I dont know how I missed it but there you go. Its not just you. I will keep my fingers crossed for you though.

Oh it feels good to read this thread!!! I am not alone. And, Harriet, it started after my first child and got progressively worse thru mental-pause (as I like to refer to it). Luckily, my husband is able to find most things I misplace.

Husband's do have their uses occasionally! Mine was out last night mending a neighbours computer but will get him to search later on.

I think this just points to me needing a more organised 'filing system' as far as my clothing is concerned. I thought I was fairly, but I seem to have been doing an awful lot of cleaning and mending lately and things get hung out of place when I'm busy like that!
