Scatter Brooch Help

These are two fairly large spiders, the largest 2.5". I think they are sterling silver because they have a purplish/copper tarnish. They both have safety catch rollers, one is broken, so it makes it look like a C clasp. Any idea how old these might be?

I don't think they are spiders. They have only 6 legs. Maybe ants or something. Sorry, no help with age but really cute!

They are gorgeous! Agree not spiders. They are 'bugs'! beetles or ants, something like that.

Thanks for the replies. I think it looks more like a ant. It does not really look like a spider or beetle.
