Schiaparelli and Prada will be at the Met next year

If you missed the Schiaparelli exhibit in Philadelphia in 2003, you'll want to plan to see next year's exhibit of Schiaparelli and Prada at the Met Costume Institute. The exhibit will run May 10 - August 19, 2012.

Well, naturally I'm thrilled (I missed the Philadelphia exhibit, but LOVE the catalog...). But... as potentially interesting as the pairing sounds, I wish it was just Schiaparelli since there are only 80 examples being shown between the two of them!

THAT was an excellent exhibition. I hope they talk about Schiaparelli AFTER 1954 this time and her licensed products. That was the only glaring error or omission when I saw the show in 2003.

Ah... just read the article, it sounds like it will be a pale imitation of the Philly show... and that nothing happened after 1954....
