Sealene Jacket - help, please!

Hi everyone, I have a few Sealene jackets in my shop and they are luxurious to the touch! Yesterday however I was fixing the fallen hem on a coat and decided that I would steam it afterwards... bad decision. It appears to have "burnt" the fabric (which I'm assuming is a synthetic). I've tried brushing, misting, all sorts of things to get these marks out but can't make them go away. And then today I was looking at the tag on another Sealene jacket I have and it clearly says "do not steam or press"... Wish I had seen that yesterday. Any suggestions on how to get these marks out?

I realize I should have maybe posted this in the "Q & A" section but can't find a way to delete my post so I can move it. Is that possible?

I think you need to determine was it caused by the heat or the moisture? Have the fibres actually melted? shrunk? or just been fixed in a new direction/nap that is causing the pattern we can now see.

I would say that happened from heat. The collar of that coat looks like genuine fox fur. Is the hemline of the lining sewn down? Can you check and peek inside to tell us what you see if so? Also, was there any sort of scent when you were steaming the coat? If so, what did it smell like?

I think it's actually shrunk/melted as I've tried misting the spots with a spray bottle and brushing the nap in all kinds of directions and it's still visible after it dries again :( I just repaired the hem on the coat so I can't see the back, but I don't think it would have gone through as the nap is quite thick. I don't know if there is any way to fix it, darn! I guess I might have to chalk this one up to "you learn something new everyday"...!
