The Seattle Art Museum has a Japanese Couture exhibition. Most of the designs are from ready-to-wear designers who sometimes make "very unusual" show pieces.

Wonderful collection -- I especially liked the clear 'raincoat' like piece, as perhaps a statement to landfills and recycling.

I love the honeycomb effect of the two outfits by Junya Watanabe (Comme des Garçons). I would love to see that in person...close enough to inspect how it was done and what the material is!
