Second opinion on Glentex upscale scarf date

I wanted to double check the date of this - I was thinking 40s maybe 30s? The fabric is rayon and the construction is very well done. I wondered if there is a designer connection. I know Schiaparelli worked with Glentex but it could just be a cool example. Anyway, dating is my real concern. Thanks! Tag image is mine so ask before copying...I have it sited on my blog:)

Great, I thought that connection between her and Glentex was a later one, you see the 60s scarves. I think 40s is correct. Thanks! If anyone knows anything else let me know:)

I had a couple of similar scarves, one which I have sold and this other one as well. The red one is quite similar to yours.

I did not have a label on either but purchased them at the same time.

I would say 40s as well.

Hi,

I saw a photo a long time ago of a woman wearing a very similar scarf, taken in circa 1950 (who knows when she bought the scarf of course). She wore it tied over, sort of like a man's tie. I appreciated seeing that label!

Do you have a copy of the pic? I was thinking of photographing it on the same way as a tie, because it is thinner in the back. I thought that could look chic. The tags are what I am researching. I have a contact there now I am hoping has images. I think this style maybe the earliest style. In 1948 the trademark duck is registered..... I will have the post up in a week or so.
