Seeking info. on a jacket and its designer

I have a purple ARISTA records jacket with a hand written label-it reads Jason or James (?) Alexander. The tag reads "Designed By J (illegible letters) Alexander M Nyc, NY and gives a phone number with a 212 area code. It looks like a baseball team jacket with flannel on the inside and very shiny purple satin on the outside. It snaps and has striped elastic on the cuffs and neckline. According to family history I would date it 1960's. Any ideas?

Also, where is the best place to sell vintage Peter Max clothes?
