we have many members with Etsy shops ~ it's very inexpensive, user friendly, and with a social aspect to it, too. I would recommend it as an easy venue to try, if you're just starting out, especially.

Welcome Loraine. I'm in the UK too. Where are you based, and are you just thinking of online selling? Personally I mainly trade at various vintage fairs in London.
I know UK sellers can do well with Etsy, and am planning to open there myself. I also know a few traders here who do well on ASOS marketplace, it's a whole different ball game but if you can meet their photography criteria could also be worth considering.

I'm on Ruby Lane, another good selling site but perhaps best suited to those with larger inventories. You should compare the fee structures of potential selling venues to see which works best for you. In the end, they all walk away with roughly 10-20% of your sales plus Paypal or other e-commerce fees. Good luck and if you open shop I hope you'll consider applying for VFG membership one day!
