Hello,
I recently acquired this early 1980s dress signed by Serge Lepage. Despite my research, I haven’t been able to determine its exact date. However, I came across an Instagram post featuring another Serge Lepage dress with the same pattern. The key difference between the two lies in the label: the dress in the Instagram post has a Haute Couture label, whereas mine does not.
Could it be that my dress is a ready-to-wear adaptation of a Haute Couture design? I suspect this because the interior finishes are made with serging rather than hand-stitching, which is traditionally used in Haute Couture.
If anyone happens to have an archive or can guide me in finding more information about this dress, I would greatly appreciate it.
Best regards,
Pierre-Louis
