SEWING PATTERN CLUB FROM THE 1970\'S

BACK IN THE 70'S I BELONGED TO A SEWING PATTERN CLUB THAT WOULD MAIL A NEW PATTERN EVERY MONTH. THEY WOULD ALSO PROVIDE PATTERN BOXES FOR STORAGE. I CAN'T REMEMBER THE NAME OF THE COMPANY. I LOST ALL THESE PATTERNS WHEN MY FATHER DIED. I KNOW THIS INFO IS VAGUE BUT CAN ANYONE HELP?

I used to get patterns from a club as well but in the 80s I'd really have to dig for them, but they were in a large almost magazine size envelope correct? Like the large vogue patterns?

I too used to belong to a sewing pattern club in the early 1980s. There was a small ring binder (dark red, I think) with the project cards/instruction leaflets in and a paper pattern for each project. I keep thinking it was Burda, because there were no seam allowances on the patterns. I remember finding it annoying that I had to add them myself. I made a skirt and some dresses from the patterns. The patterns were quite basic and very easy. I really loved recieving each issue. I'm not sure if I collected all there was or if I didn't renew my membership. I don't have it anymore, so I guess I gave it to charity after having a clearout. I wish I'd kept it now!
